Volunteers
Join our cause and become a valued volunteer!
At Felines 1st, a rapidly growing charity, we are in urgent need of passionate individuals like you to make a real difference in the lives of our feline friends. Many of these cats have fallen on hard times and are in desperate need of our help. With your support, we can provide them with the care and love they deserve.
We have identified important key volunteer roles that are crucial to our charity’s success:
Treasurer:
Do you love numbers and have a keen eye for detail? The treasurer plays a crucial role in the financial management and oversight of a charity. Their primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient and effective management of the organisation’s finances, while maintaining transparency and accountability. Please see the full description here and apply by email.
Grants Volunteer:
We are looking for a Grants Volunteer who can research grant applications, identify grant opportunities and write professional proposals. In this role you’ll be a key contributor to grant applications, reporting directly to the trustees. To do this role successfully, you will employ high level organisation skills, be able to work efficiently and independently to ensure deadlines are met. Please see the full description here and apply by email.
Fundraising Volunteers:
If you have a talent for fundraising or enjoy participating in events like car-boot sales, we would greatly appreciate your assistance. Help us sell items at our regular events, both offline and online, and contribute to raising vital funds for the welfare of our cats. Please see the full description here and apply by email.
General Volunteering:
We also need support in:
-
Collecting and sorting donated items for resale
-
Collecting and delivering supplies
-
Transport to vets, collection of cats coming into our care
-
General administration
If you could help Felines 1st with this please complete our Volunteer Application.
Pen Maintenance:
Do you possess DIY skills, experience in building, woodworking, or repairing? We require individuals like you to help with the construction and upkeep of our cat pens. By lending a hand in maintaining our facilities, you’ll ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our feline residents. If you could help Felines 1st with this please complete our Volunteer Application.
Fosterers:
If you have a garden with space for a cat pen, consider becoming an outdoor fosterer. Alternatively, if you don’t have pets of your own, you can offer indoor fostering. Both types of fostering are incredibly rewarding and provide cats with temporary homes until they find their forever families. If you could help Felines 1st with this please complete our Volunteer Application.
Company Volunteer Days & Team Building Events:
We always have odd jobs that need doing around one of our Fosterer's premises in Smallfield.
If your company offers volunteer days we would love to accommodate up to 10 people for a day's work which could include painting, organising, gardening and of course cuddles with some of the cats in our care. To arrange this, please email us.
By volunteering with Felines 1st, you’ll be part of a compassionate community dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable cats. Join us today and let’s create a brighter future for our furry friends!
Together, we can make a difference.
